The EVLOS Field Crew Development Program is a selective, field-based RPAS training experience for serious Advanced pilots who want practical exposure to how professional Extended Visual Line of Sight missions are planned, briefed, crewed, executed, monitored, documented, and debriefed in Canada.

This is not a beginner drone course. It is not a casual drone workshop. This program is designed for safety-focused RPAS professionals who want to understand real-world EVLOS operations, visual observer coordination, pilot and observer communications, site safety, mission planning, airspace awareness, contingency procedures, field documentation, and professional crew conduct.

Participants will take part in a supervised learning environment built around a real EVLOS mission over more than 300 acres in a major industrial operating area. The mission will support professional data collection for analysis and predictive insights, while giving participants direct exposure to how IN-FLIGHT Data plans and executes complex RPAS field work.

The program begins with an online crew briefing a few days before the field mission. During this session, participants will review the mission plan, crew roles, safety expectations, communications procedures, site requirements, and questions before deployment.

The field day begins at 9:00 AM with an onsite pre-flight briefing. Participants will then support the mission as part of a supervised RPAS crew environment, learning how pilots, visual observers, and operations leads coordinate during an EVLOS mission. The field portion runs through into lunch, followed by a structured debrief afterwards while the crew reviews lessons learned, field observations, mission discipline, and operational takeaways.

This program is best suited for Advanced RPAS pilots, drone service providers, industrial field teams, and future complex operators who want to build real operational readiness, not just collect another classroom credential.

Participants should already hold a Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Pilot Certificate, or be able to demonstrate equivalent readiness. Applicants must be comfortable following procedures, wearing PPE, working around industrial environments, communicating clearly, taking direction from the pilot-in-command and operations lead, and complying with IN-FLIGHT Data procedures, site safety requirements, confidentiality requirements, and applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Tuition is $995 plus GST and credit processing fee per participant ($89 for a total of $1,084). 

   **A $250 plus GST + fee seat deposit ($275.00) is due after acceptance to secure the participant’s seat. The remaining balance ($811.50 total) is due before field deployment. Transportation to the site is the participant’s responsibility.

Acceptance is not automatic. All participants must complete IN-FLIGHT Data’s vetting and onboarding process before attending. Only 6 seats are available for this intake.

All operations will be conducted under applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations, IN-FLIGHT Data procedures, site safety requirements, and crew direction. This program provides practical exposure and supervised field crew development. It does not guarantee employment, does not constitute a Transport Canada certificate, and does not imply that EVLOS is the same as BVLOS. Program language is aligned with your current positioning that this is a selective field development program for Advanced pilots, focused on practical exposure, supervised field experience, operational readiness, and professional mission discipline.
